Fordite isn’t a mineral at all — it’s layered automotive paint overspray from old factory lines, hardened and cut like a stone, and that origin story is honestly half the sale. Every cabochon is a one-off pattern of swirled color, so no two rings or pendants in a batch will match, which collectors and novelty-jewelry buyers actually prefer. Genuine vintage fordite is getting harder to source as old factory stock runs out, so supply is tighter than most gemstone categories we carry. We set it simply, usually bezel-mounted in sterling, the same philosophy behind our Galaxy Opal and Fluorite lines. Order in small batches from the full gemstone catalog; this isn’t a deep-stock, high-volume line for us.
